INGREDIENTS
2 Lbs Onion
1 Lb Chopped Meat
2 1/2 Lbs Of Potatoes
2 Teaspoon of Cumin
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
1 Cup Grated Cheese
COOKING
Pre-heat oven 400 Degrees
30-40 minutes

Slice potatoes in half (L) Slice in Half again long ways(M) Take your knife the other way and cut in pieces(R) SEE VIDEO |
On a Sauce Pot cover the potatoes with water and salt and put on high |
Start getting your meat bottom ready |
In a pan put your beef on High |
Using a potato masher break up the beef this helps it from being clumpy Add cumin Stir |
SEE VIDEO Take all your onions and start cooking them Take top and bottom off the onion (L) slice in half long ways(M) Take skin off(R) |
Using your knife cut 1.4 in thick slices amking sure not to cut all the way thru(L) turn knife theother way and same 1.4 inch slices(M) cut all the onions into small pieces (R) |
In another pot place all the onions on Med/High heat |
With a cup of water and a teaspoon of salt |
Keep stirring on the onions until they become translucent Strain the excess liquid and put back in pot |
Once the beef mixture has browned drop into the onion pot |
Stir Shut heat off |
On a baking Tray fill the bottom with the meat/onion mixture |
By this time the potatoes should be tender enough to press |
Using a potatoe ricer on thick |
cover the meat mixture |
Sprinkle Salt and the cup of Grated Cheese over the potatoes |
Place on middle rack on 400 degree oven for 20 minutes |
Or until crust has become golden brown |
Serve |
